The article presents an analytical characteristic of the pedagogical experience of the development of multiculturalism of students of local universities. The possibilities of updating the forms and methods of educational and socially oriented extracurri-cular activities affecting such a personal quality as multiculturalism in modern geopolitical and socio-cultural conditions are considered. The concept of multiculturalism is clarified, integrating a set of multicultural knowledge, skills, abilities, competencies, interests and values, experience, motivation of the individual necessary for life in the intercultural world space, for interaction with different cultures, representatives of different races, nationalities, social in the world space. The article reveals theoretical foundations of the problem, scientific and methodological support of its effective solution from the standpoint of pedagogy in the practice of higher professional education. The possibilities of using effective educational technologies in the modern educational process, including modeling of professional contextual situations, interactive methods, project work skills, are determined. The article focuses on the functions of the electronic educational platform Moodle. It is described how, on the basis of constant monitoring, there was a systematic implementation of social programs, projects, actions for representatives of different countries and peoples, with the help of which cultural and leisure, sports and recreation, information and cognitive and scientific directions of students' life activities were strengthened, expanding for them the interethnic field of interaction in society.
