« ONCE AGAIN ON THE NORTH CAUCASUS FRONTIER »

S.L. Dudarev

Annotation

The article examines the current understanding of the concept of the frontier proposed at the time by an American historian F.J. Turner. Nowadays, it has become quite popular in Russian historical science. Scientists studying the history of the North Caucasus pay much attention to it. The theory of the frontier is looking for its place in the theoretical toolkit of historians of the Caucasus. At present, a number of options have been proposed to understand the term "frontier" in relation to the history of our region. At the same time, not all specialists regard its potential as positive. For all the heuristic usefulness of this concept, it should not be absolutized and turned into a "universal master key" for understanding historical reality. The "frontal" view is quite applicable to the North Caucasian realities but it should be corrected by other theoretical developments reflecting the primordially domestic views on the essence of historical processes in our region. But the most important thing is that the concepts used by historians should work to strengthen the integrity of the Russian Caucasus and constructive relations between its peoples, which should have balanced ideas about their past, devoid of both attitudes towards centuries-old permanent confrontation, and embellishment of historical reality.

Keywords

frontier, post-frontier, retrofront, uncertainty, immunity, "Russianness", sovmestnichestvo = rivalry.

V.A. Matveev

Annotation

The circumstances of the signing of the Moscow and Kara Treaties in 1921 in various aspects were previously subjected to reflection. A significant contribution to the study of the problem was made, in particular, by the prominent scientist V.A. Zakharov. The results are presented in several monographic projects [1; 2; 3]. Nevertheless, the geopolitical and civilizational consequences of the event that occurred 100 years ago still need an objective and versatile reconstruction. They touched upon the fate of people who turned into internally displaced persons as a result of the concessions of the territory of the Russian Caucasus. The article reproduces mainly this section of the tragedy that occurred with the involvement of archival data that was not previously introduced into scientific circulation. Special attention is paid to the exodus from the former places of residence of the Dukhobors and Molokans, as well as other categories of the Christian population. At the same time, the difficulties of their return to their homeland are shown.

« THE EVOLUTION OF IDEAS ABOUT NORMS AND DEVIATIONS IN PUBLIC LIFE»

A.S. Makarov, D.S. Spiglazov

Annotation

In the socio-philosophical aspect, the author considers the development of theoretical views on the essence of the norm and deviation in Russian society. The authors aim to reveal the specifics of crime as an objective social relationship and its subjective expression in the normative consciousness, in particular, the paradoxes of a subjective attitude towards criminals and crimes in Russia. The complementarity of the anthropological and sociological interpretation of the crime is clarified. As a result of considering the topic it is concluded that subjective ideas about justice at the mental level should be scientifically comprehended at the level of objective science. It is necessary to distinguish between useful and progressive deviations (innovations), regressive deviations and dangerous crimes. There is a mutual responsibility of society, government and individuals to each other in distinguishing these three deviations.

« CONCEPT OF "SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY" FROM SOCIAL PHILOSOPHICAL ASPECTS: SEARCHING FOR NEW APPROACHES »

S.V. Omelchenko

Annotation

The concept of "social responsibility" is considered from philosophical, moral, pedagogical, legal and psychological aspects. Attention is mainly paid to responsi-bility as a category of social philosophy. It is noted that in terms classical philosophy, responsibility is unambiguously correlated with freedom as a cognized, realized necessity and, as a result, is largely retrospective. In non-classical philosophy, responsibility, freedom and necessity are in not so unambiguous and definite correlations. The article provides an overview of the most important theoretical studies and methodological approaches on the topic in the field of social philosophy. It is concluded that the concept of social responsibility is becoming more and more interdisciplinary. In philosophy, this concept becomes as generalized as possible and acquires a categorical status.
